Camp Widjiwagan is a fun, action-packed adventure that offers campers a unique experience while strengthening the values parents instill in their children each day.
Widjiwagan is an Ojibwa word meaning "close, lifelong friend." At the YMCA, Widjiwagan translates into a fun, adventure-filled summer experience that helps campers grow strong in spirit, mind and body while learning valuable camp and life skills. Camp offers a perfect setting to teach character development, with daily opportunities for campers to learn teamwork, the art of cooperation and how to make good choices.
As they begin to understand more about themselves and their surroundings, campers also form friendships that last well beyond their days at camp. It is then that they learn the true meaning of their time at Camp Widjiwagan.
